The Texas Remodelers and Builders Complete System

See what a TOTAL Energy Efficient Attic System can do for you. (*Includes adding additional insulation, Maxflo Soffit vents, an Attic Breeze Solar Powered Attic Fan, and Simonton windows)

  • No cost to operate
  • Cut your energy bills up to 40%
  • Qualify for 30% Federal Tax Credit
  • Protect your roof and A/C System
  • Lifetime Warranty

Insulation is the single most critical role in savings and comfort in your home. If you can see the tops of the ceiling joists when you’re in the attic (the wood boards located on the attic floor) you need additional insulation.

Department of Energy recommends in our high heat climate that your insulation levels be a R38 to R49. Fiberglass insulation would be 15-18 inches of product. In most cases if you have any existing insulation an R30 layer of insulation would be sufficient for your home. *We only certify what we install not an accumulative of what your house currently has.

DFW Attic Systems will ensure you get what you pay for – we install the insulation R values in accordance with the required bags of product to achieve the particular R value that is being requested. Do not be sold on thickness alone that leaves an opportunity for a contractor to fluff product to make it seem you now have sufficient levels, not always the case.

We also offer the attic tent to help stop heat transfer from the attic staircase into your home. Perfect for those located inside the home, especially when they’re upstairs.

The air movement in the attic should begin by air entering the soffit vents that are located at the bottom of the roof underneath the eave. The less dense (hot air) then rises to the roof’s peak where it should exit through an exhaust vent or fan. Adding an Attic Breeze Solar Powered Fan extracts the hot air efficiently and economically.

With the proper and efficient ventilation:

  • It reduces the possibility of dangerous mold and mildew from forming and will also prevent wood rot. These stem from moisture build-up in the attic that most commonly occurs in the winter months.
  • It will also help prolong the life of your roof. The life of a roof is often cut short due to improper ventilation allowing too much heat to build-up and prematurely deteriorate the shingles. This heat build up in the attic can be greatly reduced with ventilation.

What is HeatBloc-75?

Radiant energy travels through the air in waves, and only when it strikes another object does it actually produce heat. A radiant barrier spray blocks radiant heat transfer between a heat-radiating surface and a heat absorbing surface.

HeatBloc-75 is a name brand radiant barrier attic spray made by STS Coatings, Inc. This attic spray was specifically designed to reflect radiant heat from enetering your attic. The summertime heat enters through your roof and overheats the attic. The attic consumed with the heat forces it down into the living areas where the furniture absorbs the radiant heat, causing it to feel and be hotter.

The A/C unit and ductwork in the attic, that cools the air we need to counter this heat gain, is in a super heated environment. If you don’t have some type of radiant barrier above it refecting that heat, typically the A/C has to run longer and harder to maintain the comfort levels we want in the home resulting in higher energy costs.

When you have HeatBloc-75 in your attic = less radiant heat = less A/C = comfort + savings

*We certify our ATTIC INSULATION & RADIANT BARRIER to the Department of Energy Specifications.
